About Rowan Coffee
Specialty coffee shop with a curated menu of rotating coffees, creative seasonal drinks, and an intentional and elegant interior.
Located at 66 Broadway St, Asheville, NC 28801, Rowan Coffee operates as a cafe serving Asheville in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Asheville will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in North Carolina usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30 amβ3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is rowancoffee.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 610 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Asheville and suggests consistent service.
Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Asheville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Food and coffee was pretty decently good. The atmosphere was fun, but 2 of the outlets didn't work for me as I was trying to charge my computer while working. Great location. Really clean. Nice bathrooms π½

My first time at Rowan Coffee was a good experience. I stopped in to get some work done while in Asheville. The employees are great, friendly and helpful. My food was very good. I had the Ham, Egg and Cheese toast. The eggs were so fluffy and the bread was crusty on the outside and beautifully soft on the inside. The ham was too salty for me and there was a bit too much aioli. It tasted good, but less is more in this case and I think it overpowered the cheese. I never tasted cheese. I also had the Yugo Grey tea with vanilla syrup. It's definitely a bit different than a standard Grey, but with a couple stevia packets and after a few sips, I liked it. My only other thought is the music. Two things, first it was too loud for the most part, and more importantly, the playlist was all rap or hip hop. So yeah, I'm in my early 60s, so not my vibe, but still, the expletives and general lyrics are really not appropriate for an establishment visited by so many different people. Or at least change it up from time to time. Thankfully, I remembered my ear plugs and I was able to block it out and enjoy my visit in spit of the background noise. Otherwise, a place I will visit again, try another fo

I recently visited Rowan Coffee and was completely charmed by its beautiful, vintage-themed aesthetic. The moment you step inside, the atmosphere wraps you in a wonderful retro vibe that feels like stepping back in time. Every single detail is meticulously curated to fit this theme, from the gorgeous, stylized cups to the uniquely designed tables and seats. It creates an incredibly cohesive and inviting space to relax. Beyond the stunning decor, the customer service was absolutely outstanding; the staff was warm, attentive, and highly welcoming. Of course, the highlights were the drinks themselves. My coffee was delicious, well-crafted, and perfectly brewed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I highly recommend checking this spot out for great coffee in a beautiful, classic environment.

If you find yourself visiting here, I challenge you to be mindful during your visit. Order your favorite beverage and pastry, and take note of the perfection in the craft. Appreciate the talent and effort that went into the latte art as you take a sip, enjoy the perfectly balanced espresso/milk ratio, and think about the beauty of the pastryβs design as you take each bite. Slow down and practice mindfulness because it will enrich your experience and lead you on the right path as you start your day.

Rowan Coffee in downtown Asheville is the kind of shop that immediately signals serious attention to craft. One thing that stood out to me right away: the barista pulling espresso shots while weighing each pull from start to finish. That level of precision is exactly the kind of detail that makes a coffee nerd like me smile. It shows they care about consistency and dialing things in, not just pushing drinks across the bar. The shop itself has a really cool aesthetic β minimalist but warm β with a quiet corner vibe that makes it a great place to slow down and actually enjoy what youβre drinking. I started with a cortado, which was beautifully balanced. The espresso came through clearly while the milk softened it just enough β smooth, rich, and exactly what a cortado should be. Then I tried both of their seasonal drinks. Roses Are Falling (no mocha) was delicate and aromatic, with floral notes that felt intentional rather than perfumey. It was subtle, interesting, and really well composed. I also had the Hello Ruby, which brought a brighter flavor profile and rounded out the experience nicely. Both drinks showed a lot of creativity without losing the coffee itself. Between the
